Named after a famous Hawaiian surf spot, the brand introduces a series of print-heavy goods for its line. You wonít find any wet suits or slippers with beer bottle openers. Instead, the brand is taking a streetwear approach with designer Ross Fredman bringing his extensive print-centered design background to a collection of tops and bottoms. Camo sweaters and shirts, paisley-sleeved raglan tees, floral designs, and trippy prints make up most of Waimeaís collection.
Fredmanís resume includes stints at Troop Apparel, being Trend Director at Footlocker, and designs appearing on big names like Rihanna, so itís safe to say heís capable of doing something big. And with Waimea still in its infancy, who knows, we might get some all-over print surfboards down the line.
